In xxxx I bought the bike of my dreams, only to find that I can never use it. I only got to use it a few times on the local parkways, and down my rural road to visit a friend. I never even tried on the spare set of 20" wheels, which cost me an extra $850. My main set are 24". I have no more than 70 miles on it. My total investment, about $xxxx.00.

Transmissions (2): This bike has single sprockets front and rear, with NO derailleur mechanism. Speeds: 14 x 2.
 
- Rear - Rohloff 14-speed panetary gear hub transmission - located under the seat. You can shift through all gears while sitting still. This thing costs more than most complete bikes.

- Front (in the crank hub) - Schlumpf planetary gear 2 speed, shifted with your heel hitting the buttons on each side of the crank axle. Was a $600 option.

Brakes - Magura hydraulic disk brakes (vegetable oil) with twin piston calipers - On gravel or dirt, a high speed stop can easily become a impressive brody sliding stop, locking up all four wheels. The factory demo rider even told me on the phone that he would also pop it up on two left (or right) wheels and maintain that pose while steering.

Frame - 4 wheel independent suspension with 4 internally sprung shock absorbers with 2.5" travel in front, 3" in back. Back shock have air adjustable springs with oil damping, adjustable rebound. Rear axle articulates over rough terrain. Rods and links made from aircraft quality components with pivoting ball socket ends. Rear axle final drive employs posi-traction under load, and individual free wheeling under no load. Crank is mounted on telescoping boom with 11" adjustment.
 
Pedals - Shimano SPD M424-sp
 
Steering - U-shaped handle bar has quick release lever and folds down for storage. All wheels have quick release levers for removal.
 
Seat: Carbon fiber shell, with tailbone relief and raised front, and mounted on rubber isolators. Quick releases under cushion front allows easy removal. Cushion also removes easily.
